Posted - 11/11/2006 : 15:25:28 We are in touch with Philbert Huskon, ASU AISES chapter president, as well as Travis Tso, region 3 rep, and our local mentors Steve Peralta and Marie Ellis Tsosie, and many others. Mr. Huskon headed up the Region 3 conference this year at Tempe, AZ. He is a good friend of mine, and rightly so confirmed with me that he would be of assistance as i was cohersed to bid for the regional conference. Ms. Tsosie had just finished moderating the Navajo Studies Conference, which was a big success, and spoke with me personally that she would be ecstatic to help us out. We have looked into many sponsers at this last board meeting, tasks of contacting these companies were assigned. Our liaison Krystle Arviso-Jeans has booked the UNM sub for the conference during April, even though the dates are not fully confirmed. She also looked into host hotels which offer a UNM host student discount. We also have contacts in the student national rep position and our very own Sean Tsabatsaye. There is plenty others that have been covered and we intend on getting a lot done before christmas break. With that, we shant not forget our local activities and work as a chapter and most of that will be covered in our next board meeting planned for Thursday Nov. 16th. The time and place remain the same.

Can we contact someone that hosted an even like this? Just to get some ideas as to what hosting a conference like this requires. Just a thought.
